LISTEN TO MY HEART is a collection of Armenian ethnic jazz compositions. Centuries old Armenian folk songs transitioned into the world of Jazz without compromising either the Armenian soul or the original spirit.

“Although I am a Jazz singer, I have not forgotten or become detached from my Armenian roots for one minute. The Armenian folk song has always been a major influence on me; I might describe the group of songs presented on this CD as an eruption of my soul, caused by my cup filling up drop by drop and finally running over.

My wish of many years finally came to fruition with the birth of a kind of music -ethnic jazz- which constitutes the interweaving of two deeply rooted musical traditions.”
