"REVELATIONS" is the new CD production of the concerto for voice and big band by composer Konstantin Petrossian. The genre of concertos for voice and big band has never been present in musical literature, and there is nothing of resemblance in the Jazz world, either.

There is also a recitative for the solo voice in the form of a concert that is, along with the rest of the concert, masterfully performed by the very talented vocalist, famous jazz singer Datevik Hovanesian who became the first performer of this composition. Datevik’s singing echoes medieval Armenian chants or Sharagans (Hymns). The clarity and originality of her voice can be compared to the clear air of rocky Armenia.

The concerto for voice and big band will certainly capture the interest of many jazz lovers.
